Job summary

Amica Jubilee House in Victoria, BC seeks a Resident Services Coordinator to lead tailored programs for Assisted and Independent Living residents, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver proactive services and engage families.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, staff development, and maintaining accurate records while upholding Amica’s values and inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in dementia care in a healthcare setting, including Alzheimer’s.
• Two (2) years of organizational management.
• First Aid and CPR certified.
• Diploma and degree credentials as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate tailored programs for Assisted and Independent Living residents, ensuring compliance with retirement and memory care regulations.
• Coordinate in-service and continuing education programs for the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Manage Resident Care Partners to ensure exceptional care and meaningful resident interactions.
• Cultivate strong relationships with residents and families within a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate resident records, reports, and assessments.
• Uphold and reinforce Amica’s culture and values in all interactions.

Amica embraces pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and offers a competitive total compensation package designed to reward performance.

Expected Salary Range: $64,000 - $80,000

Compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications. Candidates whose experience surpasses the expectations for this role may be eligible for compensation above the advertised range.

What will you be doing?

• Develop and facilitate tailored programs for Assisted and Independent Living residents, ensuring compliance with retirement and memory care regulations.
• Coordinate in-service and continuing education programs for the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Manage Resident Care Partners to ensure exceptional care, monitoring, and meaningful interactions with residents.
• Cultivate strong relationships with residents and families, actively participating in a multi-disciplinary management team focused on resident care and services.
• Maintain accurate and timely resident records, reports, and assessments.
• Uphold and enhance Amica’s culture and values in all interactions.

What you will bring:

• Diploma from a recognized college in social services, healthcare, or gerontology.
• First Aid and CPR certified.
• Three (3) years of experience in dementia care in a healthcare setting, including Alzheimer’s, and two (2) years of organizational management.
• Knowledge of seniors’ care and aging, leadership best practices, legislative regulations, and policies related to retirement care.
• Strong supervision skills, excellent communication, organizational proficiency, conflict resolution, and computer skills.
• Experience with YARDI (electronic care system) preferred.
• Nursing and/or memory care background considered an asset.
• Degree from a recognized university.
