Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a safe, clean and sanitary long-term care residence for residents and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas, and performing floor care with appropriate machines.

Experience in housekeeping is preferred, and a minimum public-school education is required. The role offers an hourly wage and active consideration of applicants with Canadian work experience.

Qualifications

• Experienced housekeeping preferred.
• Able to follow cleaning schedules and safety protocols.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, activity areas, offices, hallways, stairwells and other areas as directed.
• Clean, mop, wax and polish floors; operate floor machines as needed.
• Dust furniture and equipment; arrange furniture in orderly fashion.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, urinals and telephones daily.
