Under leadersh ip of nursing staff, the incumbent provides compassionate, patient-centered care and maintains professional communication with residents, families and colleagues. Minimum education includes Grade 12 and a Health Care Aide Certificate.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education is required.
• Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program.
• Certified Food Handler Certificate or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents in a small home environment.
• Assist with activities of daily living and resident needs.
• Promote dignity and quality of life for residents.
• Contribute to nutrition, activities, laundry and housekeeping.
• Communicate with residents, families and staff in a friendly, professional manner.
• Work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
