ABOUT THE ROLE

Under the direction of the Director - Seniors Health & Administrator, the Residence / Administrative Clerk is responsible for clerical functions operations and communication within the resident home areas. The Residence Clerk also provides confidential administrative support to the Director of Care / Clinical Manager - Bethammi Nursing Home.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education / Experience :

  • Post secondary education in office administration business or other related program
  • Related work experience including confidential administrative support preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology

Skills / Abilities :

  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely both orally and in writing
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships
  • Ability to concentrate and complete tasks in a busy work environment
  • Proven ability to function and contribute as an effective team member and to work independently
  • Excellent organization / project / time management skills
  • Proficient in keyboarding and the use of office computer equipment and software including word process spreadsheet presentation and publishing software
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records actions and information
  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work

Conditions of Employment :

  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
