Job summary

DRW Montreal is seeking a senior software engineer to bridge research and infrastructure, building real-time data systems and agentic tooling. You will design and deploy production-grade pipelines, leverage LLMs where they add value, and own performance from edge to in-memory stores.

You should bring 3–5 years of deep engineering experience, strong Python/Go/Rust skills, and a track record of rapid POCs expanding into production. This role emphasizes autonomy, velocity, and rigorous tech craft.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years building real-time or data-intensive systems.
• Deep knowledge of LLMs: context, tool use, and bounding hallucination.
• Strong fundamentals in Python, Go, or Rust.
• Strong network programming knowledge (TCP/UDP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S)).
• Experience turning rapid analyses into production systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Data Science, or math.

Responsibilities

• Expand our event-driven strategy across feeds and telemetry.
• Spin up Python/Jupyter analyses to assess signal quality and drive system improvements.
• Build and operate agentic harnesses with tools, memory, evals, and guards.
• Apply LLMs where they win (extraction, classification, triage) and justify others.
• Own full-stack performance from network edge to in-memory stores and lead design reviews.
