Job Description

RBC is recruiting for an exciting Research Manager role in which you will have the opportunity to increase shareholder value through increased understanding of the needs of consumers, clients, communities and employees and RBC’s performance. Using cost effective research methodologies you will research studies for RBC enterprise ensuring that the business units are provided with timely, actionable, high quality client insights to support their decision making process. In this role you will Interpret and integrate client and market research findings and proactively share the insights across the enterprise to develop differentiating strategies and solutions that supports revenue growth.

What will you do?

  • Be responsible for the day to day management from initiation through executing field work to reporting on client insights throughout the process either via in-house survey tools or working in partnership with 3rd party research vendors
  • Ensure project task activities are completed through personal production, internal support teams and vendors
  • Build strong, effective and professional working relationships with all stakeholders by working towards win/win solutions
  • Proactively anticipate, troubleshoot, overcome, and/or escalate project challenges in a timely manner
  • Leverage knowledge from CXDI and the enterprise to uncover better insights by bringing in multiple information sources
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to signal market trends, identify business opportunities & emerging market segments, and relevant positioning, value proposition and potential product development/ enhancements

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Proven 3-5 years of experience in marketing research on the supplier/vendor side
  • Practical Experience with SPSS, Qualtrics and Excel a must have
  • Working knowledge on a wide range of research techniques covering both qualitative and quantitative areas
  • Superior project management skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills in a cross-functional and information sharing environment
  • Superior ability to translate complex research data into precise and simple information for business partners
  • Ability to function in a fast pace environment with the ability to quickly pivot

Nice-to-have

  • Degree in related field. MBA/Masters in related field preferred.
  • Working French proficiency
