Job description
Research Fellow/Associate (Ref: NHCS/RF/RA/PY)

Our laboratory is studying the relationships among metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), metabolically-related heart disease, and sarcopenia. These conditions frequently occur concomitantly with diabetes and obesity.

You will be part of a cardiovascular metabolic disorders research team reporting to the principal investigator. You are responsible for the progress of research projects assigned to you and are expected to establish research expertise in cell culture, mouse models of metabolic disease affecting the liver, heart, and skeletal muscle, metabolomic and genomic analyses, and RNA and protein processing and analyses. You will also assist the principal investigator in leading and supervising junior researchers and be involved in research collaborations.

Job Requirements
  • Master’s Degree, Medical Degree or PhD in Life Sciences, Bioengineering, or equivalent
  • 1-2 years' molecular biology research experience preferred, particularly with in vivo models in physiology, biochemistry, and computational biology
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong laboratory and organisational skills
