Overview

The Research Audiologist conducts clinical pre-validation and verification studies for new hearing aid products and features. This role supports Sonova’s global research and development efforts by designing, executing, and analyzing studies that ensure product effectiveness and innovation. The Research Audiologist also collaborates closely with internal teams and external research partners to advance hearing science and contribute to the development of next-generation technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-validation studies on new hearing aid features and technologies in alignment with the R&D research plan
  • Maintain study databases, ensure regulatory compliance, and analyze and report research findings
  • Collaborate with Sonova’s global R&D, Audiology, and Marketing teams to support product innovation
  • Support the setup, maintenance, and improvement of research lab equipment and procedures
  • Present key study outcomes at scientific meetings and contribute to peer-reviewed publications
More about you
  • Master’s degree or higher in Audiology, Hearing, or Communication Sciences
  • Licensed Audiologist in Ontario (or eligibility for licensure)
  • 1+ years of experience in the hearing aid or related industry with hands-on fitting experience
  • Strong data analysis, communication, and presentation skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects collaboratively
