RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI‑MUHC) is a world‑renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI‑MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

The RSNs mission is to act as a catalyst for the development of digital health research in Quebec to guide an open inclusive trusted and sustainable digital health transformation. The RSN aspires to collaborate with all FRQS thematic networks as well as with other health research networks in Quebec Canada and internationally. The RSNs objectives are :

  • to consolidate the digital health research ecosystem
  • to create a network across digital health research institutions and
  • to forge closer links with stakeholders decision‑makers and citizens.

The incumbent will support and report to the executive director and to the scientific director and co‑directors of the RSN and will be responsible for advancing the research activities of the RSN network. This person will be expected to maintain a working knowledge of national digital health initiatives relevant to the RSNs mandate and will support the RSN executive team in advancing the mandates of the scientific committee and carrying out the scientific activities outlined in the RSN roadmaps.

General Duties
RESEARCH
  • Engages in research activities such as literature reviews data collection knowledge development and dissemination
  • Collects and monitor the networks key performance indicators
Assists with reports and manuscripts
  • Advances the scientific committees mandate such as writing the networks funding programs.
Collaboration
  • Maintains a working knowledge of national digital health initiatives relating to the RSN mandate
  • Supports the coordination and facilitation of workshops and collaborative sessions related to the RSNs strategic roadmap and priority‑setting initiatives
  • Contributes to the development implementation and follow‑up of strategic planning activities across the network
  • Participates in fostering and maintaining partnerships among academic researchers government and non‑governmental organizations on behalf of RSN Network
  • Works collaboratively with Network Axes and RSN supporting partners
  • Supports the development and implementation of tools for operations management (i.e. templates documents checklists guidelines terms of reference organization of information)
  • Promotes mechanisms to ensure a culture of collaboration and information sharing across the network.
Communication
  • Maintains effective communication through oral and written correspondence ensuring adequate documentation.
Administration
  • Tracks project deliverables and milestones and ensures network governance axis leaders and committee members are aware of their responsibilities and timelines.
Financial / Reporting
  • Supports the development of frameworks for project evaluation and monitoring including performance indicator development and reporting
  • Supports the creation of annual reports for network members and FRQS
  • Assists in the compilation of progress reports and other communication with FRQS and MSSS and ensures that all required reporting is completed on‑time
  • Supports the preparation of project budgets and forecasts.

Work Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in increasingly senior positions with a proven track record on results.

Additional Information
  • Status: Temporary full time (35‑hour workweek) OR Temporary part‑time
  • Pay Scale: $55692.00 to $103412.40 (full‑time) OR $30.60 to $56.82 / hour (part time). Commensurate with education and experience
  • Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8 : 30am to 4 : 30pm (full‑time). If part‑time depending on availability
  • Work Site: Hybrid
