CAMH is seeking one (1) full-time, contract (12 months) Research Assistant 1 to support the Toronto Adolescent and Youth (TAY) Cohort Study and related sub-studies. The TAY Cohort Study follows 1,500 youth to determine who is at highest risk of developing psychosis and the relationship between risk and functional outcomes. Reporting to the Research Manager and working closely with the Study Investigators, the Research Assistant 1 will primarily provide administrative support for the TAY study and related sub-studies.

The successful candidate will contribute to a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable CAMH policies and regulatory requirements. This position may require some weekend and evening shifts and requires onsite work at both 80 Workman Way and 250 College Street, with travel between CAMH sites.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for the TAY study and related sub-studies, including scheduling research visits with participants and organizing research documents.
  • Support data entry, screening and recruiting participants, and work with databases to ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Assist with preparing PowerPoint presentations, proofreading documents, attending research meetings, and organizing the study calendar.
  • Support with filing, reconciling documents, and performing other administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Secondary School and/or Specialty Courses. Experience in a health services or academic setting is an asset.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to produce high-quality, accurate work while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with Electronic Data Capture Systems such as REDCap is an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate problem solving and adaptability. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
