Reporting to the Research Director, the successful candidate will demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to conduct labour market research and develop competency standards related to the environmental workforce.
As a key member of the Research team, the Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting labour market research, developing competency profiles, preparing and analyzing data, writing and editing reports, and coordinating ECO Canada's research initiatives. While each member of ECO Canada has individual responsibilities, ECO takes a team-based approach. Everyone is encouraged to take ownership of their ideas and to see them through to completion, collaborating with key influencers as required.
The Research Analyst supports the various types of research within ECO Canada, including market, economic, policy, and competency standards research. The specific duties performed by the Research Analyst will be determined by the current phase of each research project and the priority of research tasks. The successful candidate will also contribute to project management and the development and delivery of presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
This role is a full-time contract position through March 31, 2027, and is based at ECO Canada's Calgary head office (unless otherwise noted). After a 3-month probation period, eligible employees may transition to a hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week in the office.
