Job description

We are seeking to fill a permanent Sales Representative position in Northern Ontario – for USCAN, a division of Richelieu. Uscan is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Outside Sales Representative to join its team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our extensive range of fasteners and related products to existing and potential customers in your designated territory. You will work closely hardware retailers to understand their needs, build long-term relationships, and offer tailored solutions that drive sales growth.

Responsibilities
  • Actively prospect for new opportunities and build a strong network with potential customers in your area.
  • Be a trusted partner for your customers by focusing on proximity, satisfaction, and loyalty.
  • Become an expert in our fastener range to offer the best solutions.
  • Present our products with impact, conduct strategic negotiations, and close profitable sales.
  • Strive for excellence by exceeding your monthly and quarterly sales targets while maximizing profitability.
  • Monitor market trends, analyze customer needs, and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Work hand in hand with our internal teams to ensure impeccable customer service, from order processing to delivery.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in outside sales and/or business development with strong skills in prospecting new opportunities (3 to 5 years).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Self-starter and results-oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the hardware industry and related products is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • A university degree in marketing or a related field would be an asset.
  • The ideal candidate must reside in the Sudbury region, however not limited to this area.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
