Your responsibilities:
  • Pitch and produce news stories about Northern Ontario, whether in short or long formats, text or visual.
  • Produce multi-platform journalistic content across research, writing, video, audio, and writing to deliver compelling, high-impact stories.
  • Work closely with other team members in news and programming in Sudbury and elsewhere.

  • Ability to write reports based on interviews gathered or live web events, filling in gaps as needed.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks across all Radio-Canada platforms.
  • Strong journalistic judgment and ability to work effectively under pressure in a newsroom.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong team spirit.
  • Strong commitment to embodying and promoting diversity, inclusion, and respect in the workplace.
  • Ability to develop original, self-directed journalism.
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record meeting CBC/Radio-Canada insurer minimum requirements is an important asset.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
  • Knowledge of audio and video editing software is an asset.
  • Excellent command of French (mandatory) and very good knowledge of English (asset).

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
