CBC New Brunswick seeks an experienced Reporter/Editor. In this role, you will deliver thorough, fact-checked, dynamic and compelling journalism to connect with audiences across all platforms.

You will work as part of the CBC New Brunswick newsroom in collaboration with journalists across the three stations in the province to deliver news and current affairs content. Your work will be a mix of original stories and breaking news to serve our audiences in New Brunswick and beyond.

This position is based in Saint John and requires a full-time, on-site presence. While shifts are primarily daytime hours Monday to Friday, the role requires flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.

We Are Looking For a Candidate With The Following

• Journalism degree or equivalent experience working in a newsroom.
• Ability to generate, pitch and pursue strong story ideas.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively; strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of industry trends.
• Strong desire to live and promote the values of diversity and an inclusive and respectful work culture.
• Sound news judgment.
• Ability to work effectively under newsroom deadline pressure.
• Willingness and ability to work a variety of shifts, including early starts, late finishes and weekends.
• Good knowledge of current events and key issues in New Brunswick and the Atlantic provinces.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the minimum requirements of CBC/Radio-Canada's insurance company.
