Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking an Overnight Grocery Clerk in Nova Scotia. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining stock, promoting products, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

You will follow food safety protocols and company procedures while supporting team members in a fast-paced setting. The position involves lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for long periods, and performing physical duties as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Above average communication skills (oral and written).
• May be required to lift up to 20 lbs and perform physical work including bending, lifting, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, SOPs, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives.
• Order, receive, and merchandise stock in accordance with inventory control procedures.
• Increase store sales by actively promoting featured products.
• Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, keeping work area clean and presentable as per Company requirements.
• Process department shrink, as required.
• Participate in the training of junior staff.
• Other duties as required.

The Over Night Grocery Clerk is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. The Clerk will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs, and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
