Job summary

AutoCanada’s ACX London division is hiring a Repair Technician to restore damaged vehicles to their original condition. This hands-on role requires mechanical knowledge, automotive repair skills, and proficiency with hand and power tools.

You will work closely with a team in a fast-paced dealership environment. Responsibilities include bodywork, panel replacement, frame inspection with Car-O-Liner, and ensuring safe, high-quality repairs.

Qualifications

• Completion of a related post-secondary program or training.
• Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes.
• Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively.
• I-CAR certification training would be considered an asset.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history.
• 2-3 years of Autobody Technician experience.
• Red seal licensed 310B.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform all types of repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform bodywork tasks, applying filler, shaping, forming, sanding, priming, and painting.
• Repair and replace damaged vehicle parts, including body panels, fenders, doors, and bumpers.
• Align and fit vehicle components to the original pre-condition.
• Inspect vehicles for additional damage.
• Assess Frame with Car-O-Liner measurement system.
• Clamp down and pull for mash and sway.
• Attention to detail, panel dry fit, smooth/clean repair.
• Work independently and as part of our team.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines.

Your area of focus.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively
• I-CAR certification training and I-CAR certification would be considered assets
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history
• 2-3-years of Autobody Technician experience
• Must be a red seal licensed 310B
• Able to work in face paced environment and able to do all types of repairs
