Job description

We are currently seeking a Rental Technician to join our Cold Lake team of talented professionals. The Rental Technician plays a key role in our Operations group by outfitting our internal and external clients with the proper equipment needed for the job and explaining its safe use. Rental Technicians support customers by addressing concerns, answering questions, and troubleshooting client needs. Computer savviness is required for this role. Individuals in this position are highly motivated, safety conscious, and work well independently.

Primary Duties
  • Understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies
  • Fit-for-work each day
  • Clean and service equipment after rental
  • Receive rental equipment back to the shop and assess for missing or damaged parts
  • Receive and respond to orders from customers
  • Fill out contract, quotation, and shipping forms
  • Coordinate transportation of product to customer as required
  • Other duties and activities as assigned
Key Requirements
  • 1-3 years oil and gas experience related to the use of equipment such as handling equipment, power swivels, and pressure control
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Basic computer knowledge with Microsoft products
  • Working knowledge of asset inventory programs
  • Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Class 5 operator’s license

The Precision Well Servicing team is responsible for well completions, workovers, and abandonments. We use a variety of service rigs that are suited to each scope of work. The wells are located in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin which includes Northern BC, Northwest Territories, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
