Job summary

University of Ottawa is seeking a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor for POL1102: Politics and Globalization, to be conducted primarily via distance teaching at Main Campus. The position runs January 11, 2027 to April 30, 2027, with an hourly wage of CAD 33.83 for undergraduates and CAD 53.31 for graduates.

One position is available, total 60 hours, course POL1102, CUPE 2626 terms. Applicants should be available for the Winter Semester 2027, and priority is given per CUPE articles.

Qualifications

• Priority will be given to candidates in accordance with articles 18.5 and 18.6 of the CUPE collective agreement.
• Please note that the teaching method will be delivered in distance teaching and may change due to health measures or other reasons.

Responsibilities

• Various responsibilities such as: teaching assistance, discussion groups, marking of papers and exams, and office hours to meet with students.
• The student must meet deadlines set by the supervisor and attend lectures if requested.
