MobilityData is hiring a software developer to work on public transit data quality tools. You will focus on robust backend development with secondary frontend contributions to ensure a seamless user experience.

You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and an active open-source community to shape the future of transit data quality, applying your 3+ years of experience and a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Develop robust backend and contribute to frontend where needed.
• Collaborate with product managers and open-source contributors to define and implement features.
• Review code, triage issues, and maintain tools such as GTFS Validator, MobilityDatabase Web, and Mobility Feed API.
