Job summary

BrainyYack is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design and build scalable backend systems and AI-powered solutions. You will own backend development, APIs, and integrations, collaborating with product and architecture teams to deliver production-quality software.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, system design, and mentoring teammates while working in a remote setup. Strong experience with Python frameworks and cloud platforms is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Advanced Python experience.
• Strong experience building APIs with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Experience with SQL and modern databases.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and API design.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Docker, CI/CD, Git, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs is highly desirable.
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain/LangGraph, RAG, vector databases, or AI agents is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Python applications, APIs, and backend services.
• Build integrations with third-party platforms, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Work on AI/ML and LLM-powered applications, agents, and automation workflows.
• Design clean, maintainable system architectures.
• Work with databases, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, DevOps, and frontend/mobile engineers.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot complex production and performance issues.
• Help establish engineering standards and mentor other developers.
