Job summary

Affirm seeks a Lead validator for Finance and Analytics models within the Model Risk Management team. You will validate complex financial and analytics models, drive governance, and partner across Finance, Quantitative Research, and Growth Analytics to remediate findings.

The role supports a remote-first environment with opportunities to collaborate across functions and prepare for regulatory and examiner requests while advancing the MRM framework.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in model validation, data analytics, or quantitative finance.
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, treasury, ALM, or actuarial forecasting.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and large datasets; Excel and Databricks exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent validation of financial and analytics models, including ALM and forecast models.
• Lead end-to-end validation engagements for high-complexity models.
• Identify weaknesses and clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate across Finance, Quantitative Research, and Growth Analytics to remediate findings.
• Support implementation of the company’s Model Risk Management framework.
• Coordinate with Internal Audit, Controls, Accounting, and Compliance on timely responses.
