Job summary

Hatch Innovations Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Golang Backend Engineer to design and implement robust backend systems for a game project with Electronic Arts. You will work in an engineering-focused, fast-paced environment with minimal management and clear goals, and you will align with Pacific Time business hours.

You will design, build, and deploy scalable Golang services on GCP, collaborate across engineers, product managers, and designers, and contribute to all phases of the

Qualifications

• 4+ years backend experience with Golang.
• Experience with GCP and deploying on the GCP platform.
• Experience with microservice architecture.
• Familiarity with gRPC and distributed systems.
• Strong CS fundamentals and design patterns.
• Proficient in Git and version control.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend services in Golang.
• Build and deploy applications on GCP.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and designers to translate requirements into maintainable code.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and maintenance.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
