Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy for Western Canadian markets.
  • Identify target sectors, prospective clients and high-value construction opportunities.
  • Generate new leads through networking, market research, referrals, travel and direct outreach.
  • Build long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and position SP Data Digital as a trusted construction partner.
  • Manage complex, multi-step buying journeys from initial contact through qualification and handover.
  • Maintain a healthy, accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with senior management on market-entry strategies and growth priorities; work with estimating, preconstruction and operations teams.
  • Represent the organization at client meetings, industry events and networking functions.
  • Track competitor activity and market trends across Alberta; support proposal development and negotiations.

Compensation: Salary + Performance-based commission structure

Our client is seeking a seasoned Business Development Executive to lead growth across the Western Canadian markets. This is an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven position focused on identifying high-value construction opportunities, navigating long and complex buying journeys, and building trusted relationships with senior decision-makers.

The successful candidates will manage the front end of the project lifecycle, develop sustainable sales pipelines, and work closely with senior management to shape market-entry and client-development strategies.
