Cognizant is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support and maintain critical Oracle database environments and enterprise applications. This remote role will travel milestone to Halifax, CA to ensure stability, availability, and performance of business-critical systems.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong Oracle DBA expertise, backup/recovery, and PL/SQL development. Proficiency with SQL*Plus, TOAD, SQL Developer, and Oracle utilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in computing.
• Experience as an Oracle DBA supporting production environments.
• Strong Oracle DBA expertise, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SQL*Plus, TOAD, SQL Developer, and Oracle utilities.

Responsabilités

• Administer and maintain Oracle database environments.
• Monitor health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle database issues and bottlenecks.
• Support CDC and data replication processes.
• Provide DBA support for REN and PET databases and related environments.
• Collaborate with Enterprise DBA teams to apply standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL scripts and objects.
• Utilize Oracle utilities for admin tasks.
• Support migrations, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Participate in operational support and take ownership quickly.
