Job summary

Matrix-Camps-and-Logistics seeks a Health & Safety Coordinator to support diverse mining and winter ice road projects. This role requires hands-on field work in remote camps, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring regulatory compliance across all site activities.

You will collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to implement site-specific safety programs, conduct inspections, and lead toolbox talks while managing documentation and emergency response plans in

• Safety-focused professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting multiple mining/industrial projects.
• Comfort in remote locations and field duties in extreme winter conditions.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor health and safety programs across projects.
• Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits.
• Develop JHAs/FLHAs, safe work procedures, and emergency plans.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S legislation and client requirements.
• Lead toolbox talks, orientations, and daily safety meetings.
• Monitor winter ice road construction and remote camp operations.
• Investigate incidents and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and statistics.
• Collaborate with management and subcontractors to improve safety.
