Job summary

A regional Indigenous organization seeks a Program Coordinator for Mi’kmaw Ethics Watch (MEW). The role involves overseeing ethical reviews of research proposals impacting the Mi’kmaq Nation and developing governance processes. Candidates should have a relevant degree or diploma, two years of coordination experience, and strong communication skills. Knowledge of Mi’kmaw culture and language is advantageous. This position is home-based with a one-year term and possible extension.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of project coordinator/management experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ethical reviews related to research impacting the Mi’kmaq Nation.
• Develop and update MEW processes to strengthen Indigenous research governance.
