A healthcare staffing agency is seeking a Remote Medical Support Associate to provide patient-centered telehealth services. The role requires strong communication and triage skills, and involves supporting patients through their treatment journey remotely. Candidates should have relevant nursing or pharmacy qualifications and a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience. The position is part-time with a rotating schedule.

About the Role:
The Medical Support Associate plays a key role in delivering safe, patient-centered digital healthcare. This position blends clinical expertise with exceptional communication skills to ensure patients receive timely, accurate, and compassionate support throughout their treatment journey.
You’ll collaborate closely with our clinical and medical teams to deliver high-quality telehealth services, triage patient needs, and contribute to continuous improvement in digital care delivery.
Triage and respond to patient inquiries, side effects, and complaints via email, SMS, and chat, with phone support as required.
Provide clinically sound, empathetic, and timely patient guidance in a remote/telehealth setting.
Conduct scheduled treatment reviews to assess progress and recommend next steps.
Support patients in understanding and adhering to treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care.
Create and maintain clear patient education materials (instructions, handouts, digital resources).
Collaborate with clinical leadership to improve workflows, protocols, and support tools.
Assist in managing clinical escalations and incidents, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Participate in a rotating weekend schedule to ensure continuous patient coverage.
Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Pharmacist with active registration in BC, AB, or ON (multi-provincial licensure an asset).
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in primary care, specialty care, or pharmacy practice.
Demonstrated ability to assess, triage, and manage patient inquiries safely and effectively.
Strong understanding of pharmacology, medication management, and side-effect monitoring.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a compassionate, patient‑first approach.
Comfortable using EMR systems, digital communication tools, and remote care platforms.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced virtual environment.
Availability to work weekends as part of a rotating schedule.
Experience in telehealth or digital healthcare settings.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
