Job summary

A global engineering services firm based in Edmonton is seeking an Applications Patch Engineer. This fully remote contract role focuses on Linux administration, application installation, and vulnerability management to support medical device software platforms. Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Linux application installation/configuration and security patch management.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux administration and scripting.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks: HIPAA, SOC 2, FDA.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, prioritize, and deploy OS and application patches across Linux servers.
  • Build automation for patch management and compliance reporting.
  • Ensure systems remain secure and compliant while minimizing operational disruption.
