CWB Group seeks an Innovation Ecosystem Development Consultant (Independent Contractor) to map and mobilize Canada's innovation ecosystem for welding, materials joining, and related industries. The role blends advisory guidance with hands-on execution, requiring extensive stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking at the executive level.

The position is remote with travel within Canada as needed, offering opportunities to influence national innovation policy and industry collaboration through

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship Engineering, Public Policy, Economics, Technology Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in innovation strategy, ecosystem development, technology commercialization, economic development, venture capital, innovation consulting, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience leading innovation landscape or ecosystem mapping initiatives in Canada.
• Experience working with industry, government, academia, innovation networks, and funding organizations.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities.
• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience conducting executive workshops and strategic discussions.
• Superior written communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint.

• Provide advisory expertise with practical execution; translate findings into actionable recommendations for executive leadership.

• Contribute to executive-level presentations, briefing materials, and discussion papers.
• Transfer knowledge, tools, and methodologies to internal team members.
• Develop Innovation Landscape Map and National Plan for Gap & Opportunity Assessment.
• Foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship through programs and collaboration.
