Torn Banner Studios, a Toronto-based game studio, is seeking a development tester to ensure quality across features from concept to release. The role involves executing test cases, writing concise bugs, and collaborating with developers and the Community team to reproduce issues.

This fixed 12-month contract allows remote work with eligibility for Ontario or Quebec residents, and offers a flexible schedule including remote, hybrid, or on-site options depending on project needs.

Competenze

• Experience as a QA Tester on an active game project, ideally shipped at least 1 title.
• Strong bug writing skills and understanding of best practices.
• Grasp of QA concepts including bug life cycle.
• Familiarity with Jira or other issue tracking software; experience with Testrail or other test management tools.

Mansioni

• Execute test cases to ensure features are ready for shipping.
• Maintain high quality bug reports with clear reproduction steps.
• Collaborate with testers on daily smoke tests to gauge development health.
• Perform regression testing on fixed bugs and exploratory testing on changes.
• Communicate actively with developers and community team to reproduce issues.
• Provide feedback on features in development to inform design.
