Job summary

Source Code in Toronto is seeking a senior front-end developer for a fully remote, 1-year contract with the possibility of extension. You will design and implement elegant, accessible front-end solutions end-to-end, from analysis to testing, using MVVM Angular 5+, ASP.NET MVC, and modern JS tooling.

You will apply patterns, write unit tests, review code, optimize performance for high-traffic sites, and work with GitHub, Azure DevOps, and JIRA in a distributed team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the online software industry.
• Experience with MVVM and Angular 5+.
• Proficiency in ASP.NET MVC and modern front-end tooling.
• Strong knowledge of responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Experience with unit, component, and integration testing.
• Familiarity with cloud-based apps and performance monitoring.
• Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, and JIRA in distributed teams.
• Portfolio of recent front-end work showcasing elegant solutions.
• University degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop elegant and accessible front-end solutions from analysis through testing and integration.
• Choose design patterns, write solid unit tests, perform code reviews and maintain clean code.
• Perform root cause analysis on defects and liaise with production support.
• Evaluate 3rd party packages and integration options for web apps.
• Maintain CI/CD for applications and optimize performance.
