Job summary

A community-focused organization in Northwestern Ontario seeks a Director of Finance to oversee financial activities, including planning and reporting. This leadership role requires a strong background in accounting and experience in not-for-profit governance. Remuneration ranges from $135,300 to $151,630 based on experience and includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in senior management within not-for-profit sector.
  • Expert knowledge of GAAP and not-for-profit governance.
  • Experience working with Boards of Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee ONWA's financial activities including planning and reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to management.

Skills

Bachelors degree in accounting, Business, Finance or related field
Professional Accounting Designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
Ability to prepare financial statements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Valid Ontario G drivers license
Fluency in English
