Job Summary

The Elite Job is looking for passionate and skilled ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers to join our home-based teaching team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one and group ESL lessons via video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Skype, etc.).
• Develop and customize lesson plans to suit the needs of individual students.
• Help students improve their speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills in English.
• Evaluate students progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain an encouraging and engaging classroom environment.
• Ensure that students meet specific learning objectives and goals.
• Stay up-to-date with ESL teaching methods and industry trends to continuously improve the learning experience.
• Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.
• Provide progress reports to students or their guardians, where applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Certification: TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification is highly desirable.
• Experience: Previous ESL teaching experience (online or in-person) is an advantage, though not required.
• Technology Proficiency: Comfort with online teaching tools and virtual classrooms.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Adaptability: Ability to adjust teaching methods based on student needs and learning styles.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple students and lesson plans effectively.
• Patience and Empathy: Ability to work with diverse learners and understand their unique challenges.

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience teaching ESL (preferred, but not mandatory).
• Experience working with students of various ages and language proficiency levels is a plus.
• Familiarity with virtual teaching platforms and tools is an asset.

Working Hours

• Flexible working hours, with the ability to teach during evenings and weekends to accommodate students in various time zones.
• Part-time positions available, with the possibility of full-time depending on student demand.
