Job summary

StackAdapt is seeking a Backend Engineering Lead to guide a team owning the creative pipeline in a high‑throughput, distributed system environment. You will drive sprint planning, code reviews, and cross‑team collaboration with Bidding, Data Science, and Product, while upholding scalable engineering standards.

You will mentor engineers, manage incident responses, and help shape the technical direction in a remote‑first culture across Canada and the US.

Qualifications

• Experience leading backend teams in adtech/ martech environments.
• Proficient in Golang or similar backend languages.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and high‑throughput services.

Responsibilities

• Lead a backend engineering team owning the creative pipeline.
• Break down roadmaps into sprints and track delivery.
• Run agile rituals and monitor sprint health to prevent burnout.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Coordinate with Bidding, Data Science, and Product teams.
