Job summary

A specialized vendor inspection firm is seeking an experienced inspector for electrical equipment in the oil and gas industry. The role includes performing third-party inspections, preparing compliance documentation, and may require travel within Canada. Ideal candidates will possess a Canadian Electrical Certificate and have significant experience in quality inspection and electrical instrumentation. This position allows for remote work and is under an Independent Contractor relationship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years experience in electrical fabrication or quality inspection.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical instrumentation and third-party inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform third-party electrical shop/vendor inspections.
• Prepare and complete necessary paperwork for compliance.
• Submit final reports to Inspection Coordinators.

Skills

Strong technical knowledge IEEE, CSA and IEC standards

Excellent report writing and review skills

Ability to read technical documents

Strong organizational skills

Strong computer skills in MS Office

Education

Canadian Electrical Certificate (Journeyman, Master, or Red Seal Electrician)
