Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Drilling Fluids Engineer to join a global team, operating remotely from anywhere. You will design, manage, and optimize drilling fluid systems, collaborating with field operations and drilling engineers to ensure safe well construction.

The role requires deep technical expertise in fluid chemistry, rheology, and hydraulics, plus strong analytical and remote communication skills to solve complex drilling challenges across international projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer in the oil and gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling fluid properties, additives, and testing procedures.
• Familiarity with hydraulics modeling and wellbore stability analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design drilling fluid programs tailored to specific well conditions and objectives.
• Monitor drilling fluid performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Troubleshoot downhole fluid-related problems, such as lost circulation, stuck pipe, and hole instability.
• Ensure efficient and cost-effective management of drilling fluid materials and services.
• Maintain accurate records and provide detailed technical reports on fluid performance.
