Varsity Tutors is seeking Chemistry 2 tutors to deliver high-quality, online 1-on-1 instruction. You’ll schedule sessions around your availability and connect with students on our Live Learning Platform from home.

Earn up to $40/hour with incremental pay per session and get paid up to twice per week. The role emphasizes flexible hours, remote tutoring, and matching you with students that fit your teaching style.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of chemical kinetics, equilibria, acids and bases, aqueous equilibria, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, coordination chemistry, and organic chemistry fundamentals.
• Ability to explain ICE table calculations, titration curves, and electrochemical cell problems.
• Adapts instruction to second-semester general chemistry curricula and common challenges.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
• Explain concepts using multiple approaches and adapt to student needs.
• Offer on-demand tutoring sessions as available via the platform.
