Varsity Tutors is seeking a skilled cello tutor to teach online through our Live Learning Platform from anywhere in Canada. You set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and influence students' musical development with personalized instruction.

Earn up to $40/hour with incremental pay per session, get paid twice weekly, and enjoy a fully remote role that matches you with students and leverages AI tools to enhance sessions.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of cello technique including bow hold, left hand position, intonation, vibrato, shifting, scales and arpeggios.
• Ability to explain tone production, bow distribution, position work, and musical phrasing for orchestral auditions and conservatory prep.
• Familiar with Suzuki and traditional pedagogy; adapts to etudes, scales, and repertoire by student level.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online cello tutoring sessions.
• Offer on-demand tutoring when available and invoice for sessions.
• Match students with lessons to suit their learning styles and goals.
