Job summary

Outlier, an AI training platform owned by Scale AI, is seeking detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media on a flexible, freelance basis. You will roleplay live conversations with an AI voice model, compare AI outputs, and provide written explanations of issues, all from home.

You can work on your own schedule with no minimum hours. This 1099 contract position offers weekly payments and opportunities to earn bonuses based on project incentives.

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaker with strong, clear written communication.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to replay or zoom in when something seems off.
• Comfortable thinking on your feet and discussing realistic situations naturally.
• Ability to write concise, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Able to make clear decisions when two options have flaws.

Responsibilities

• Holding live, scenario-based conversations in English with AI voice models and ranking naturalness, usefulness and clarity.
• Comparing AI-generated images and videos and judging adherence to prompts.
• Inspecting outputs closely for distortions, flickering, text errors and audio-visual mismatches.
• Rating outputs across dimensions and writing explicit explanations in English.
