Job description

Compensation: $22-$26 per hour (full-time / permanent)

When disasters happen, Remediation Technicians at On Side are truly on ‘your side’. Asbestos and mould can appear anywhere and require specialized knowledge and experience to handle. Remediation Technicians perform remediation services while ensuring the health and safety of workers and clients.

Remediation Technicians are responsible for:

1. Ensuring a safe work area from asbestos and mould by knowing how to remove and remediate potential hazards from the work site
2. Identifying and disposing of asbestos and mould contaminated materials

What you bring:

• Ability to perform work following procedures and legislation
• Clean-shaven face (if applicable) for proper full mask fit
• Cleanliness of site, vehicle, and tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow scope of work
• Organized with a good sense of time—rarely late and aware of tool locations
• Physically fit—remediation can include heavy lifting and working in tight spaces
• Friendly and enjoys working in a team!
• A safety-first mindset
• Valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record (we verify)
• Ability to communicate in English

Other qualities that contribute to your success but aren’t required:

• Asbestos remediation ticket
• Background in demolition
• Construction experience

Disasters can occur at any time, requiring a rotating schedule of 24/7 after-hours on-call work.
