Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Environmental Engineering or Geosciences and at least two years of environmental field and project management experience. Responsibilities include spill response, regulatory reporting, budgeting, and supervising subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or Engineering (Environmental or Earth Sciences preferred) or related diploma.
• Two years in environmental field and two years in project management.
• Experience in soil and groundwater remediation including delineation and monitoring.
• Experience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Flexible schedule; willingness to work after hours on weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Emergency response activities including initial investigation, remedial planning, retaining, and managing sub-contractors, cost control, field supervision and documentation.
• Spill response management with field contractor oversight and documentation of remediation progress.
• Client and regulatory report preparation and liaison with regulators and other stakeholders.
• Client engagement and participation in business development activities.
• Primary projects involve transportation losses and related remediation efforts.
• Decision-making in the field with support from head office.
