The Relief Receptionist is responsible for completing reception and administrative duties necessary to ensure the smooth operation of Elm Centre Administrative Office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Answers telephone, email and in-person inquiries regarding YWCA Toronto; directs calls to the appropriate staff or program.
  • Greets all visitors and re-directs them accordingly.
  • Presents a positive and professional image of the organization to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, and other interactions.
  • Ensures that the appearance of the reception area is welcoming.
  • Receives and distributes all incoming supplies and other deliveries for the Elm Centre Administrative Office.
  • Any other duties/special projects as assigned by the Office Co-ordinator or Manager of Administration.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Completion of high school, including technical or commercial training in relevant fields directly related to the job (Cases for Equivalency will be considered).
  • 1-3 years directly related work experience.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization/general public.
  • Exceptional customer services and interpersonal skills ability to exercise good judgment in handling customer inquiries.
  • Excellent organizational skills and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to deliver culturally sensitive service in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to maintain a positive approach and a professional manner at all times.
  • Knowledge of a second language an asset.
