This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing and delivering prescriptions accurately and timely, managing inventory and counseling patients.

What you’ll do

• Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely to patients
• Ensure medication and over‑the‑counter supplement inventory levels are adequate to meet patients’ needs
• Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive and proactive interaction
• Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.)
• Provide timely and positive resolution to patients’ needs and doctors’ requests/issues
• Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary)
• Provide on‑going training for all new and existing pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPG’s)
• Be responsible for receiving, preparing and delivering prescriptions and clinical services (within scope of practice) accurately and timely
• Travel regularly and maintain a reliable means of transportation
• Work in a variety of different pharmacies rather than a fixed location, unless otherwise indicated

What you’ll need

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist’s license
• Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
• Excellent leadership and performance‑management skills
• Proven ability to build business using community‑based marketing strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem‑solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans
• Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of Healthwatch and/or Kroll Pharmacy systems

Hiring Range: $44.00 – $60.60 per hour.
