Qualifications

• One (1) year's recent relevant clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area.
• Completion of post-graduate course work and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care of patients.
• Receives and admits patients to the OR.
• Implements and documents nursing care based on physician orders.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and research.

Skills

Clinical proficiency in the designated clinical area

Ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to promote person-centered care

Ability to recognize acuity changes

Education

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the BCCNM
