Job summary

Brandon School Division is seeking a School Bus Driver for Route Red 11, a permanent position beginning October 26, 2026, or as soon as possible. Training and onboarding are provided; assistance available at the Transportation Office. Drivers transport students between designated pickup sites and BSD schools.

City and/or country routes may be assigned. Applicants must meet licensing and certification requirements and be prepared for checks.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Class 2 Driver's License or willingness to obtain.
• School Bus Operator's Certificate with Defensive Driving training or willingness to obtain.
• WHMIS training/certification.
• Demonstrated time management and computer/word processing skills.
• Effective basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
• Effective moderate interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students from designated pick-up sites to BSD schools (and other division events/outings).
• Drivers may be assigned to city and/or country routes.
• Duties are established by the Supervisor of Transportation within the parameters of the job profile.
