Reliability Manager

Role Details

As a proactive Reliability Manager you will join Visys Smithfield Paper Recycling and Manufacturing facility in a full-time permanent capacity. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will lead strategies that improve equipment reliability optimize maintenance processes and drive operational efficiency.

What you'll do
  • Lead the development & delivery of reliability and maintenance strategies to maximise plant uptime and reduce costs.
  • Manage the engineering budget and oversee the performance of a team of Reliability Engineers and contractors
  • Analyse failure patterns conducting root cause analyses (RCA) and implementing predictive and preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Plan and coordinate routine maintenance shutdowns to ensure safe and efficient execution
  • Collaborate with operations technical and engineering teams to enhance mill performance and asset reliability
  • Utilize CMMS tools to monitor asset performance and drive data-driven improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety environmental and quality standards.

This plant operates on a 24 / 7-day basis and you will need to be flexible to work additional hours as required including being on our call-out roster.

What You Will Bring

A highly motivated engineer with a proactive approach enthusiasm for troubleshooting and take accountability for tasks you will also have :

  • Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical Electrical Industrial or related field).
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience in reliability / maintenance management in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in paper pulp or recycling industries is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of predictive & preventive maintenance (PdM & PM) strategies.
  • Proficiency in CMMS software and reliability analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
