Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Release Train Engineer to help drive the successful delivery of value across our enterprise platforms. This role is crucial for facilitating our release processes, managing risk, and coaching teams in Lean-Agile practices within our new operating model.

Responsibilities
  • Key Responsibilities
    • Facilitation and Coordination: Manage and optimize the flow of value through releases using various tools (Scrum/Kanban). Facilitate key events like Program Increment (PI) Planning, System Demos, and Pre/Post-PI Planning meetings.
    • Delivery and Risk Management: Coordinate the successful deployment of Features, managing cross-functional dependencies, risks, and impediments escalated by teams within the release scope.
    • Agile Coaching and Improvement: Act as a servant leader and coach to leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters, promoting collaboration and a Lean-Agile Continuous Delivery mindset. Drive improvements in the flow of value by enhancing DevOps and Release on Demand capabilities.
    • Alignment and Reporting: Summarize and publish PI Objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals (Vision, OKRs). Track and produce key metrics and dashboards to monitor release health.
    • Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with Business Owners, Product Managers, and Product Owners to ensure strategy and roadmap alignment.
Candidate Profile

Experience: 5-7 years of overall experience, with a focus on coordinating, leading, and coaching multiple agile teams (supporting 3-4 teams). 5-7 years as a Release Train Engineer is a must-have.

Summary

Location: Hybrid model in Toronto, Ontario (currently 2 days onsite, with the expectation to come into the office as needed).
