Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is looking for a dedicated Rehabilitation Assistant at Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody, B.C. The successful candidate will assist Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in delivering allied health care to patients regaining independence.

Responsibilities include carrying out treatment plans, assisting with mobility, maintaining therapy equipment, and observing patient progress. Candidates should have completed a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or equivalent and possess strong communication skills.

• Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or equivalent education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively with others.

Job Summary

Dedicated Rehabilitation Assistant to support patients in regaining independence at Eagle Ridge Hospital, Port Moody, B.C. Assist Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in delivering allied health care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out designated components of a rehabilitative treatment plan under PT/OT assignment
• Assist in mobility-related tasks under nursing direction
• Observe and report changes in patient function to team members
• Contribute to planning, implementation, modification, and evaluation of treatment plans
• Perform tests such as Berg Balance, Timed Up & Go, six‑minute walk test; record data
• Apply therapeutic modalities such as TENS, NMES, hot packs, ice, wax treatments
• Provide functional skills training and assist with wheelchair mobility
• Assist in fabrication and modification of splints, seating, exercise devices
• Maintain therapy equipment and supplies and suggest new purchases
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
