Job summary

Vancouver City Savings Credit Union is seeking a Regulatory Change and Regulatory Relations Consultant to support identification, assessment, and coordination of regulatory developments across Vancity and Vancity Investment Bank.

You will analyze regulatory changes, translate requirements into actionable guidance, and coordinate implementation activities while engaging regulators. This hybrid, on-site role reports to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance Operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Law, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, governance, enterprise risk management, audit, legal operations, or a related field.
  • Experience assessing regulatory requirements and supporting implementation of regulatory change initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks, governance practices, and risk management principles.
  • Experience developing reports, impact assessments, briefing materials, and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and provide practical recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience working within financial services, banking, credit unions, or other regulated environments is considered an asset.

Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Regulatory Change and Regulatory Relations Consultant, you will support the identification, assessment, and coordination of regulatory developments across Vancity and Vancity Investment Bank. You will analyze regulatory changes, translate requirements into actionable guidance, coordinate implementation activities, and support engagement with regulators. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory obligations are effectively understood, communicated, tracked, and implemented across the organization. We are seeking an analytical and collaborative compliance professional who excels at stakeholder engagement, regulatory analysis, and driving coordinated action across business and compliance teams.

This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance Operations . While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of $86,400 to $111,800 per annum . The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
