Role: Regulatory Affairs Advisor

Salary: $77,381.86 – $89,848.11 annually

Reporting to: Director, Agreements

The Regulatory Affairs Advisor provides expert guidance on housing-related regulatory, contractual, and risk implications. Responsibilities include contributing to the development and implementation of strategies, leading housing initiative projects, conducting independent research, managing external contractors, advising senior leadership, and preparing reports for Executives and the Board of Commissioners. The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, participates in working groups, and fosters relationships with government agencies.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Considerable experience in leading and managing business strategy, project management, and communications.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the employer.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Sound knowledge of the affordable housing sector in British Columbia.
  • Ability to understand departmental policies, program mandates, and demonstrate emotional intelligence.
  • Creative problem solving, planning, facilitation, and execution of initiatives.
  • Project management, sound judgment, diplomacy with confidential matters.
  • Analytical thinking, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across multiple channels.
  • Ability to lead projects from idea to execution with multiple inputs and priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
